Out of the possible 270 booking options available for the 2024 Sherwood Forest Faire season, all Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights of Faire weekends are fully booked!

Rent a Castle in Central Texas!
Nottingham Castle’s magnificent Great Hall is a venue for weddings, feasts, concerts, game nights, murder mystery dinners, or just some peace and quiet time.
You can rent the entire Castle (excluding Sherwood Keep) in the off-season. This grants you exclusive use of the Great Hall and all 5 bedrooms. Castle guests are welcome to roam the woods. Be careful near construction sites within Sherwood Forest.

Live Like Royalty in Nottingham Castle
The Castle has five luxurious bedrooms that are able to accommodate guests throughout the year. Each room is furnished with large, heavy furniture, high-quality beds from Austin Natural Mattress, oriental-style rugs, tapestries, and various other accoutrements that will make the most discerning visiting nobles feel right at home.

NormandyList Item 1
Normandy is the coziest of our rooms and is paneled in knotty pine. It is located upstairs in the Castle. This room features a queen-sized bed and matching dresser and is individually climate-controlled. The semi-private bathroom with claw-footed tub and shower is shared between Aquitaine and Normandy.

AquitaineList Item 2
Aquitaine is paneled in red cedar, giving it a rich, warm elegance. It is located upstairs in the Castle. This room features a queen-sized bed with matching dresser, and it is individually climate-controlled. The semi-private bathroom with claw-footed tub and shower is shared between Aquitaine and Normandy.

AnjouList Item 3
Anjou, with its imposing furniture and high ceiling, is both grand and elegant. This room is located upstairs in the Castle. Anjou is furnished with a queen-sized bed and matching dresser, has its own private bathroom with shower, and is individually climate controlled.

GasconyList Item 4
Gascony, with its gorgeous queen bed and matching dresser, would be satisfactory to even the loftiest of nobles. This room is located upstairs in the Castle. Gascony has its own private bathroom with shower and is individually climate controlled.

Brittany
Brittany is the grandest of our rooms and features 15-foot ceilings and beautiful art. It is located on the ground floor of the Castle, just off the Great Hall. The room has a queen-sized bed and matching dresser, a private bathroom with a very large walk-in shower, and is individually climate controlled. This is the only one of the five rooms that is wheelchair accessible. Brittany also has a mini fridge and coffee maker.
Pricing
Peak Rates apply at following times:
- 8 weekend Faire Season: every Friday, every Saturday, the Thursday preceeding Spring Break and the Sunday of closing weekend
- Celtic Music Festival: Friday and Saturday night
- Grown Up Summer Camp: Special rates apply; rooms must be booked through the camp registration portal
Off-Peak Rates apply at all other times (including Sunday nights the first seven weekends of Faire)

Payment
Full payment is required in advance to secure your booking. We do not accept checks.
Faire season
- We accept bookings of 2 or more consecutive nights starting September 1st at 8am; bookings can be Fri/Sat or Sat/Sun (i.e., 2 night minimum during Faire season). To book, please call Patina at 940-521-2488 at 8am. All calls will be returned in the order they come in.
- Spring Break weekend is an exception; 3 nights are required, and you can choose Thu/Fri/Sat or Fri/Sat/Sun
Grown Up Camp
Bookings are handled exclusively through the camp registration system. Rooms are sold out usually within 10 minutes of camp sales going online.
Celtic Music Festival
Bookings begin June 1st.
All Other Events and Dates
We accept bookings about 6 months out all the way to last minute.
Refund Policy
For a full refund, cancellation must be made 14 days before your scheduled check-in.
Details
Access and Parking
The Great Hall is accessed via the Campground Entrance on Highway 290. The entrance address is 3106 US Hwy 290 E, Paige TX 78659. Enter the gate between the two billboards and follow directional signs to Nottingham Castle. Guests staying in the Castle will be entitled to park in specially designated spaces right behind the building, making loading in and loading out very easy.
Check In and Check Out
Check In is at 4 pm and Check Out is at 12 pm. We can occasionally offer Early Check In or Late Check Out, and we can let you know if this is possible if you ask a few days before your visit.
Maximum Occupancy
The maximum occupancy per room is two adults. No further adults are permitted to occupy a reserved room. We can provide a cot or floor mat for a maximum of one child, but bear in mind that there is not a great deal of unused floor space.
Event Admission
During Sherwood Forest Faire and Celtic Festival weekends, room occupants will receive complimentary admission to the show.
Amenities
Each room includes fresh sheets, towels, soap, and a blow drier. Room occupants have access to a refrigerator, freezer, sink, microwave, toaster oven, coffee pot, wifi and an outdoor barbecue pit.
Special Events in the Great Hall
During Peak times, the Great Hall is in use each day starting around 8am and sometimes going as late as midnight. Please understand that this is a very active venue and you may hear activity from outside your room during those hours. Castle Room guests have non-exclusive access to the Great Hall.
