Year Three of a Dream

Sherwood, ancient in legend, engraved in the heritage and myth of western man,
Robin of the Hood, Friar Tuck, Little John, Maid Marian, and the rest of the Merry Men,
The eternal struggle of between the rich and the poor, between the just and the unjust, between the elites and common man, between real and fantasy,
Stone and earth and air and water—the basic building blocks of existence,
The Tree of Life as a symbol of our connection to terra firma even as we reach for the heavens,
The dreams of people to somehow belong,
The desire for art and literature and music to act as the binding agent to a community,
Respect for all…and a recognition that we should be about building something greater than ourselves,
Generational perspectives,
A bit of the epicurean philosophy of “Eat, Drink and be Merry for Tomorrow We shall Die”,
Trees planted in remembrance of those who have passed on from our presence,
New buildings in our forest,
The strengthening of a social and spiritual fabric that binds us,
Our gypsies, our fairies, our new children’s castle,
Our genuine love and enjoyment of each other’s company,
Year Three of a Millennium or more to come…
Our home, our tribe.
