A.S.L. Weekend

Apr 1 - 2

Members of the American Sign Language professional interpreting community gather together from all over the state on our 5th weekend. Teams interpret shows for a fully immersive experience. We endeavor to make the faire as Deaf and ASL-friendly as possible, so our patrons and volunteers can be enchanted and enriched. Look for BESPOKE wooden pins on interpreters, with supporters donning blue & white ribbons.

Lady Belz invites you to sit for a spell and enjoy the tranquility of the forest at her small fenced-in homestead complete with a faery cottage and a lily pond.

Come and watch your children learn the basics of swordplay in a hands-on experience that is fun for all ages. Herr Hasselhoff will teach your young ones not only how to defend and attack, but he will also teach them to respect the danger of wielding a weapon. DO NOT BE LATE! This show takes place at the Combat Arena near the Scarlet Maze.

Sunday mornings only

Join our village cleric and the Sherwood villagers for a 20-minute non-denominational church service each Sunday morning at Maid Marian's Chapel. All souls are welcome of any faith and walk of life.

Clan Tynker

Mar 17 - 19

Clan Tynker is a family troupe with a stunning array of talents. Set to live music, the show culminates with a dizzying array of dangerous stunts and climaxes with a spectacular fire performance! Clan Tynker will hold court at the Greenwoode Theatre (Formerly Pirate Territory) on our three-day weekend.

Each faire day at the Faery Forest Stage the furry, friendly Bandit Beasts of Barnesdale hold a Costume Contest to find the best-dressed patrons who walk these woods. Come cheer for your favorite disguises!

Each day of the faire, in the mid-afternoon, wondrous things start to happen. Across from Maid Marian's Chapel faeries start to gather in the Faery courtyard. Join them for a Garden Party that is just as hilarious as it is heart-warming.

Jugging is a military strategy sport, not unlike football or rugby. Come see this rag-tag team of warriors get medieval on each other with swords, shields, and duels to the death at the Jugging Arena!

Find this multi-talented juggler at the Elven Hill Stage and others around the faire. Giacomo is not only an expert Jester, you can also find him playing and singing beautiful original music with Tip the Velvet at The Lionheart Tavern.

Haller Glass

Master glassblower Mark Haller can be found plying his trade and providing glass-blowing demonstrations near the Lionheart Tavern throughout each faire day. See the mesmerizing process of glassmaking closeup while you shop at his new pavilion studio!

Sherwood's joust team holds full contact matches every day of the faire… but on the penultimate weekend, April 15th and 16th, the New Riders of the Golden Age hold a larger Jousting tournament with 6 to 8 knights, breaking hundreds of lances in pursuit of a 1,000 dollar purse. May the best knight prevail!

Judas & Magnolia: Escape Show

Dr. Judas Lynch and Ms. Magnolia Strange present their Underwater Escape Stunt Show every weekend at the Greenwoode Theatre, bringing you to the edge of your seat with fantastical narratives and death-defying stunts! Also look for their Mind Reading Show late in the day at the Three Celestials Stage.

Knightlife with Burgalouse

Learn about 12th Century Knighthood with Otto Von Burgundy and Raymond Toulouse, two hysterical figures of Medieval Europe, in this action-packed show that combines humour, history, and live fighting demonstrations at their Knights Encampment, close to The Seven Sisters Stone Circle.



Knights of the Grail - Joust Games and Spear Throw

Knights of the Grail (KOTG) is a program created by the knights of King Richard who provide equine therapy to military veterans (as a 501c3 nonprofit). See the Knights of the Grail demonstrating their skills in Joust Games daily!



Sherwood Players Cast Show

In this year of 1191, you can follow the continuing adventures of Robin Hood and his Merry Band of outlaws by finding the shaded shows on the daily schedule, including a final Castle Siege show near day's end.

The World's Second Greatest Magician! Come join the party of this Chaotic Neutral Warlock as he demonstrates skills of illusion, enchantment, and even a bit of evocation at Three Celestials Stage on the first 6 weekends of the faire and at the Greenwoode Theatre on the final two weekends.



A flawless juggler, this mad Italian fool tosses machetes, throws flaming pins, and balances on precarious objects for your pleasure at The Argosy Stage (Formerly Greenwoode). Come witness excellence in juggling and hilarity!

The Pirates of Sherwood present Comedia del Arrrte! Captain Eustace Busket, M.C. and his crew of Farcical Seafarers will sail on the new Argosy Stage (Formerly Greenwoode) from cannon to cannon.

Professor Nickels' Punch and Judy Show

Absent Mar 25 - 26 – Especially great for kids!

A traditional, interactive show featuring a colorful cast of characters. Mr. Punch, his wife Judy, and a hungry crocodile will have kids of all ages shouting and laughing at the Story Time Theater Stage!

Queen Bonnie is a lady wizard who is known in these parts as the Magical Queen of Everything. She can be found entertaining passersby with naughty nursery rhymes, riddles, jokes, limericks, and songs.



The Rose of Aquitaine Tasting Tavern

Madame Ghislaine invites you to be treated like royalty with wine, beer, or mead-tasting flights in her open-air pavilion behind Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem Pub. You'll also enjoy some special performances from Sherwood entertainers while you are lavished.

Queen Eleanor and her entourage of ladies and knights hold court in Sherwood's children's area, Once Upon a Time… where she is known to assign knighthoods to deserving young adventurers.

The Royal Open Archery Tournament with Robert du Bowyer

Robert du Bowyer holds the Sherwood Royal Open Archery Tournament in the early afternoon at The Joust Arena. Archers with traditional bows of all kinds will compete for medals and legendary titles.



Sand Sculptures by Albert Lucio

SCA (Society for Creative Anachronism)

The Society for Creative Anachronism has planted their pavilion near the Villager's Square Stage. They shall share their knowledge and mastery of medieval life with you including combat, arts, and crafts.

Shakespeare for Kids by Kids

Apr 22 – Especially great for kids!

The Improv-Ed Shakespeare Company consists of two different troupes, ranging in ages from six to thirteen years. They shall join us in Robin Hood’s forest on Sherwood’s final weekend.

The King's master of falconry, Sir Robert Cheseman, appears at the Falconry Stage daily. Meet birds of prey eye-to-eye in this inspiring show and be sure to visit the Raptor Aviary!

Saturdays and Friday Mar 17 

Fire dancers spin fiery forms each Saturday, plus Friday March 17th. This year the Solar Rain Fire Show will be performed in the campground for the first two weekends of Faire, and in front of Sherwood Castle after post-Daylight Savings after the Pub Sing.

Tanaquil the Enchanted Faery Storyteller

Especially great for kids!

Tanaquil of Avalon is an Irish lass who some say has communed with the faeries. How e'er she may have gotten her charm and her gift of gab, find Tanaquil at The Storytime Theater and all about the forest.

Thomas Wood – Pyrojuggler

This highly skilled manipulator of objects uses juggling balls, crystal balls, full glasses of water, clubs, knives, and anything you could think of. Find this flame–flinging daredevil at The Washing Well Stage.

Viking Vixens Vaudeville Show

Apr 1 - 23 – New this season!

These Norse invaders aren't here to plunder your riches; they are here to entertain! An interactive viking experience with circus, comedy, and knives - at the Lionheart Tavern on our final four weekends.

Sherwood is home not only to adventurers and royalty, but also to everyday people like crafters, merchants, travelers, and peasants. These friendly townsfolk are the Merry Band's welcome wagon.



Good clean fun – wet dirty wenches

Your Village Laundresses, Daphne and her kooky cuz Cookie, shall scrub your funny bone and knock your socks off… into the wash that is! Find them at the Washing Well Stage for 27 minutes of pure bliss.

Will the Bowman's Longbow Tournament

Will the Bowman holds the Longbow Tournament mid-afternoon at the Joust Arena. All archers will be using traditional longbows as they aim to claim prizes and bragging rights with their skills.
