Dear Patrons of Sherwood Forest Faire,

In the 11-year history of our faire, we have never had to face anything to match the unprecedented events that have led to the premature closing of Sherwood Forest. The extraordinary upheaval that all of us have experienced from this world-wide pandemic has left us scrambling to wrap up our operations, take care of our staff, and support our entertainers and merchants. Many of you have expressed your support for us through emails and social media messages, and we thank you for your kindness, patience, and encouragement.

Like other businesses, large and small, the sudden end of SWFF has left us with very limited options and difficult financial decisions to make. We are applying for emergency financial assistance from the Small Business Administration (SBA) and while we have no news on that front yet, we are hopeful of receiving a loan that helps us get to Sherwood Forest Faire 2021.
